RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) -- One person was taken to a Raleigh area hospital after a three-car crash on Interstate 40 Sunday sent an SUV off the highway, crashing into woods, police said.
The wreck was reported around 6:30 p.m. along I-40 eastbound near Rock Quarry Road at mile marker 300, according to the Raleigh Police Department and the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Three vehicles collided in the crash that sent an SUV off the highway -- with the vehicle smashing into woods several feet off the interstate, police said.
There were no serious injuries, but one person was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked, police said.
