KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) -- A crash in Knightdale closed one direction of Knightdale Boulevard during the afternoon rush hour on Monday, officials said.

The wreck was reported around 4:30 p.m. along Knightdale Boulevard/U.S. 64 Business near Morning Flyer Way, according to a news release from the town of Knightdale.

The crash between an SUV and an East Coast Drilling truck closed the westbound lanes about a half mile west of the Interstate 87 interchange.

As of 5:20 p.m., westbound Knightdale Boulevard was still closed as "first responders investigate and work to clear the roadway," officials said.

There was no word about injuries from the crash.

Traffic in the eastbound lanes was also impacted by the crash.
