JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Police have identified the woman killed on Saturday in New Jersey as a sister of Timberwolves player Naz Reid.

In a statement released by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, authorities said they received a report of shots fired around 11 a.m. on Saturday. The caller also reported an unresponsive female in the roadway at the Paragon Apartment Complex on Larsen Road in Jackson Township.

The responding officers located a woman with multiple gunshot wounds near the exit of the apartment complex. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The woman was later identified as 28-year-old Toraya Reid, the sister of MN Timberwolves player Naz Reid. KARE 11 has confirmed this information with sources familiar with the matter.
