CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – People who live in the Awendaw and McClellanville communities will have an opportunity to attend an upcoming storm preparedness expo.

Residents and business owners can meet local first responders, learn how to prepare for emergencies and disasters, and find valuable resources to keep their families and community safe if a storm or emergency were to pose a problem.

The Awendaw/McClellanville Fire Department is hosting the event in partnership with the Town of Awendaw.

It will be held at Berkeley Electric Cooperative in Awendaw on Wednesday, September 10, from 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
