SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - We will enjoy a few days of Fall to begin the week, but the summer heat will return later this week, so be sure to make the most of these pleasant temperatures for the next 2 days.

If you can get outside before 9 a.m., you will feel the coolest temperatures we've had since late May and early June in the 50s and low 60s around sunrise. A light north breeze has pushed all of the humidity out, and that will give us gorgeous sunny September weather with highs in the low to mid-80s, about 5 to 10 degrees below average.

The dry air and low humidity will keep our nights and mornings on the chilly side for the next few nights, with lows expected to drop into the 50s in most areas tonight. We will be just a few degrees from low temperature records.
