LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- A man was stabbed in the stomach at a local Applebee's Sunday afternoon.

The Lansing Police Department says two people are in custody, and the 34-year-old Lansing man who was stabbed is in critical condition.

According to police, the incident occurred on South Cedar Street shortly after 4 p.m. Witnesses reported that the incident began after a fight broke out in the parking lot.

LPD said it is unclear how the fight happened or whether the people involved knew each other.
