The Braves have definitely entered into what even they consider to be the “playing out the string” portion of the season, with reliever and other tactical choices that feel less like a team trying to even play spoiler and more just one that wants to get things over with as quickly as possible. In recent years, the Braves have given their fans (the tournament-inclined ones, anyway) something akin to rising action and then a climax with the postseason, but there’s nothing like that set for them in 2025. As a result, the question is less, “When will it end?” but, “What will you do once it does?”
