The City of Belleville has contracted Henderson Construction for the replacement of the McWilliams Bridge located on Blessington Road, just east of Forsythe Road.

Planned improvements include the installation of a new precast concrete bridge, as well as new

asphalt pavement and steel beam guiderails, the city announced Monday.

These upgrades will ensure a safe and efficient road and transportation system that addresses the needs of residents and businesses.

Construction is anticipated to commence mid-September, and the road will remain closed

between Forsythe Road and Bethany Road for the duration of construction.

A detour will be put in place and local access for residents will be maintained throughout construction.

This project is expected to be fully completed
