ASHLAND, Ore. — The Ashland, Oregon, Police Department has reopened ‘A’ Street after a preliminary investigation into the shooting incident early Sunday morning that left a 40-year-old Ashland man, Matthew Mark Vandersande, dead following a targeted attack.

’A’ Street is now open and the area is clear after an investigation that involved the Jackson County Major Assault/Death Investigation Unit (MADIU), Oregon State Police, Medford Police Department, the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office, the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab determined that there was no threat to the public.
