The public will be able to get familiar with top candidates for two key leadership positions later this month through two open houses.

The city announced in August that it had chosen several top candidates to fulfill the positions of Boise Fire Chief Mark Niemeyer and Boise Parks & Recreation Director Doug Holloway following their retirements in November and October, respectively. With the candidates determined, the open houses will provide introductions and allow members of the public to directly engage with the individuals under consideration.

The first open house will be for the Boise Parks and Recreation director position, taking place Thursday, Sept. 11 from 4-6 p.m at the Warm Springs Grill + Golf, located
