(FOX 5/KUSI) — The closure of a small stretch of roadway at San Diego International Airport means anyone driving from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 will now have to take an extended detour to get between the two.
Airport Terminal Road, the roadway closest to the terminals, will be closed for at least three years, starting Monday, to allow for continued construction of various projects on the airport grounds.
According to airport officials, the two detour options are: • From Terminal 1, exit at Harbor Island Drive and turn right onto N. Harbor Drive, then re-enter the airport at Spanish Landing and follow the signs to Terminal 2 • From Terminal 1, follow the recirculation roadway to Terminal 1, pass the Terminal Parking Plaza and then follow the signs to Terminal 2
