The legacy of a beloved local coach, mentor, and special education teacher was further bolstered within the East Providence community on Saturday at an official dedication ceremony to unveil a plaque at the new basketball courts at the Kent Heights Recreational Facility, which now bear the name of the late Vincent ‘Vinny’ Spremulli.

About 100 people — including family members, friends, and those who considered Spremulli a mentor, whether as a teacher, coach, or role model — showed up to the ceremony.
