PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Monday, Sept. 1

Brianna Lee Helger, 21, of 8 Bourbon St., was charged with domestic simple assault/battery at 11:45 a.m. The arrest was the result of a call for a domestic disturbance at her home, police said. The victim was a 19-year-old man from Newport, according to police.

Marlio Caitano Silva, 28, of 2084 Pleasant St., Floor 1 rear, Fall River, was charged with operating under a foreign license that had been suspended or revoked. He was pulled over on Turnpike Avenue at Freeborn Street at about 4:10 p.m.

Courtney Nicole Dalton, 29, of 195 Admiral Kalbfus Road, Newport, was arrested on a Newport Police affidavit warrant following a traffic stop on Mill Lane at Wilkey Avenue around 9:15 p.m.
