During his Monday press conference Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore announced that Biff Poggi will serve as the interim head coach during his two-game self-imposed suspension for the Central Michigan and Nebraska games.

Poggi returned to Michigan as the associate head coach this offseason after spending the last two years as the head coach at Charlotte.

“We’ll operate as a collective unit — Chip will handle the offense, Wink will handle the defense and JB will handle special teams, but the overall operation, coach Poggi will stand in as interim,” Moore said. “Obviously I won’t be there, but how we handle game days will flow like normal. Our players will be ready to go.”
