SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- Salt Lake City Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in Salt Lake City's Sugar House neighborhood early Saturday morning.

The victim in this case has been identified as Usman Dalal, 20. Family has set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral and memorial services as well as provide financial support for the family.

Shortly before 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 6, SLCPD officers responded to reports of a shooting near 1300 South Wilson Ave. Police arrived on scene and found Dalal with multiple gunshot wounds.

Gold Cross Ambulance transported Dalal to a local hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, he died from his injuries.
