Just days after UTC lifted a temporary pause on Greek life early, a student reported a possible drink spiking. The victim attended a party at the Pi Kappa Alpha house, and a medical evaluation determined the student ingested a strong opioid medication, the UTC Department of Public Safety said.

In just a few weeks of classes, UTC has investigated multiple incidents involving students.

Aug. 16: UTC Police received a report of a possible drink spiking. The victim last recalled attending an off-campus party and sought medical attention at a local emergency room.
