This year marks 24 years since the 9/11 attacks, and landmarks across New York State will light up to commemorate the anniversary.

Every year, NYC’s Tribute in Light sets the sky aglow with blue twin beams four miles high, which are assembled on the roof of the Battery Parking Garage — right near the 9/11 Memorial & Museum . Likewise, buildings, train stations, bridges, and beyond from the city all the way to Upstate, New York, will follow suit with blue lights of their own.

Although this time marks one of the darkest times in our city, state, and nation’s history, this tradition is a way for us to stay resilient and in harmony with one another.
