The Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is once again receiving reports of phone scams that are targeting residents.

Sheriff Gary Sisk said that scammers are falsely claiming to be members of the CCSO to try to intimidate victims into sending money.

Here are key facts to remember, according to the CCSO:

• According to Sheriff Sisk, no law enforcement agency will ever call you to demand money.

• No deputy or officer will threaten arrest over the phone.

• All court-related matters are handled directly through the court system—never by phone.
