CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Businesses were open Monday morning, but several were boarded up after they were hit by intruders last week.
Multiple stores were hit in two different parts of Charlotte. The first was Ballantyne Village, the second was Park Road Shopping Center.
TJ Ciesiolka, the manager at the Smoothie King in Ballantyne, shared surveillance video from last Thursday morning. He said that while the damage may look bad, the alleged robbers didn’t really get much from their store.
“I guess they needed their potassium for the day and were a little impatient for waiting to come until seven when we opened, but unfortunately, they just decided to take the easy way instead,” said Ciesiolka.
