ANN ARBOR — Two games into Sherrone Moore’s second season as Michigan’s head football coach, the Wolverines have lacked aggressiveness offensively.
That’s not to say the players haven’t shown the trait. It’s the coaches who have been too conservative.
In Saturday’s, 24-13 loss at Oklahoma, Michigan: (1) punted from the Oklahoma 38-yard line in the first quarter; (2) tried a field goal on fourth-and-2 from the Oklahoma 14 in the second quarter; tried a field goal on fourth-and-2 from the Oklahoma 23 down 14 points midway through the third quarter; and tried a field goal on fourth-and-6 from the Oklahoma 17 down 11 points late in the third.
Moore was asked about those decisions, in general, on Monday. On the punt, he recalled a couple of facts incorrectly. First, he thought Michigan was o
