The Nashville area saw 3,056 home closings in August, representing a 1 percent decrease compared to the 3,086 closings in August 2024.

The dip comes after the Greater Nashville Realtors (GNR) recorded 3,356 home closings in July, up 3 percent compared to the 3,271 closings in July 2024.

According to a GNR press release, the August figure is also a decrease from the 3,185 closings in June and the 3,164 closings in May.

The GNR release notes the median price for a single-family home in August was $505,000, an increase from the August 2024 median price of $485,000. The single-family home median price in July was $499,994, while June saw $528,297 and the May figure was $506,557.
