REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The woman who was killed in a domestic violence incident over the weekend in Reedley has been identified as 43-year-old Yesennia Rocha.

It happened in a neighborhood on Parlier and Frankwood Avenues just after 8 pm Saturday.

Authorities say Yesennia was shot and killed by her husband, Michael Rocha, in front of family and friends.

Sunday afternoon, Michael was killed during a shootout with Tulare County deputies near Woodlake.

The shootout happened after deputies initially tried pulling him over after spotting his truck.

Authorities are now investigating whether there were previous domestic violence incidents with the couple.

Investigators say they were married for 25 years before separating in August.

The couple had two adult children.
