Salisbury police say the body of a man reported missing over the weekend was recovered Monday morning from the Wicomico River.

Detectives and Maryland State Police responded around 9:30 a.m. to the waterfront near the 300 block of West Main Street, where they found the body of 29-year-old Deaquan White, who had been reported missing Sept. 6.

Investigators said White’s body was discovered just west of Mill Street in the river. His remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police officials said they conducted an extensive search for White over the weekend, including interviews with family members, reviewing known locations, and asking for assistance over social media. They added that Wh
