North Dakota State is more than twenty years into Division I football, so when there's a first-time opponent that comes on the schedule, that's news in its own right. That's the case this weekend for the Bison, as they will host Southeast Missouri State out of the Ohio Valley-Big South Football Association.
It's the second straight Ohio Valley opponent for NDSU, after taking care of Tennessee State last week. SEMO has had a solid football tradition over the last few years, making the FCS Playoffs two of the last three years. Last year, they hosted Illinois State in the opening round, falling 35-27. The Redhawks were led by quarterback Paxton DeLaurent, who was a three-year starter for the team.
