COPPERAS COVE, Texas — A Copperas Cove ISD counselor has been named Stellar Counselor of the Month this September, being recognized for her service to students and positive impact.

Copperas Cove High School counselor Jessica Salazar was named for the honor for the month of September by the Region 12 Education Service Center, which serves 77 school districts across 12 counties, Copperas Cove ISD said.

According to the district, Salazar was recognized for her "creative approaches with students and the positive impact she’s made on students."

“I’m truly humbled to be named Stellar Counselor of the Month for Region 12,” Salazar said. “Every day, I do my best to pour my heart into supporting my students, finding creative ways to connect with them and helping them grow and succeed.”
