A 17-year-old girl has died in hospital after she was attacked by a dog in Singleton, NSW last week.
Annalyse Blyton was attacked by the dog at her friend's home on Broughton Street at about 11.30am last Thursday.
Police said she suffered critical injuries to her head, neck, and body, and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
Police said this morning they were told Annalyse died in hospital yesterday.
The 10-year-old dog, described as a large animal of mixed breed, has been destroyed with the owner's consent.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
