LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A person was reportedly killed after being hit by a train in Little Rock on Monday afternoon.

Union Pacific officials stated that the collision occurred at around 3:30 p.m. near 6400 Geyer Springs Road, noting that it didn’t happen at a crossing.

UP officials said the Little Rock Police Department responded to the incident and is currently investigating.

This is the second time in almost 24 hours that someone was hit by a train in Little Rock after Union Pacific officials said one of their trains struck a trespasser on the tracks near North Street on Sunday afternoon.
