CLAYTON, N.C. (WNCN) -- A Johnston County judge on Monday afternoon reduced the bond for a road rage suspect from $1 million to $75,000 after deputies say Murad Taylor of Garner shot into a woman’s car and then led deputies on a high-speed chase that came to a crashing end in Wake County on Friday.
At the road rage suspect’s first court appearance, the prosecutor didn’t give a specific reason for asking Judge Craig James for the lower bail.
Taylor, 38, faces nine charges, including reckless driving, speeding, fleeing police, running a red light, possession of marijuana with an open alcohol container in his SUV.
He’s also charged with shooting a “Winchester pump shotgun” into a woman’s blue Hyundai along Veterans Parkway at Highway 50 North, according to the arrest warrant.
