What's the point of Daylight Saving Time

It was just a way to add more daylight to the day. I mean, the same amount of daylight would have been there, either way, but if people are working farming hours, you'd have more light in the morning hours. Work more hours, get more stuff done during the summer.

Of course, with today's technology, it may not be necessary, but it's still recognized for most of the United States.

Hawaii and most of Arizona are excluded.
