The Las Vegas Raiders suffered an injury scare during their Week 1 victory over the New England Patriots.
Brock Bowers tallied 103 receiving yards before exiting the 20-13 win early. The star tight end squashed any long-term concern, telling NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero that he’s fine.
Bowers got hit around his knee at the end of a 38-yard play late in the third quarter. He was spotted limping afterward and went into the team’s blue medical tent for further evaluation.
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Monday that Bowers is day-to-day. The 22-year-old has an extra week to recover before a “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
