CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Managers from restaurants and bars in the Flats say they were on edge and scared for their lives during Sunday night’s mass shooting outside of Play Bar & Grill.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened, and that is why they say there needs to be more security.
“I immediately go into panic, worried about my staff, worried about my guests,” says Brad Vandevelde, general manager at the Lake House.
The shooting happened just before 6:30 pm after the Browns’ home opener on West 10th Street.
According to police, a fight started inside the bar and escalated outside.
Vandevelde says even though his restaurant is across the parking lot, his employees still felt helpless.
