London resident demands justice, concerns over shifting leadership

LONDON, Ky. — Shifting leadership in the City of London has left some residents concerned that their everyday problems will be pushed to the side.

Following weeks of controversy, city council members voted to remove Randall Weddle as mayor of London.

‘Harless Crossroads’ is what William Eversole and his wife, Krystie, call a three-way intersection off Main Street in London.

Eversole is part of a Facebook group called “Justice for Laurel County,” where community members are organizing and sharing their concerns about the city.

He stands outside, just feet away from city hall, every day, holding signs for his friend Doug Harless, who was shot and killed by London police last Christmas Eve.
