OKLAHOMA CITY — Days after being the subject of a critical letter sent by Attorney General Gentner Drummond to Gov. Kevin Stitt, the director of the state’s Office of Management and Enterprise Services has announced his plan to resign effective Sept. 26.

Rick Rose was among four state officials who announced plans to step down. Others include Oklahoma Secretary of State Josh Cockroft; Deputy Secretary of State Nitasha Rose, who is Rick Rose’s wife; and Evan Brown, who has been executive director of the Economic Development, Growth & Expansion Program at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

In a media statement, Stitt acknowledged Rick Rose’s decision to leave OMES, but he did not mention Drummond’s letter. The Governor’s Office didn’t immediately respond to a request for additional infor
