HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Police Department is warning the public of recent reports of scam calls.
In a news release, the department stated, it has received reports of recent scam calls of scammers posing as Harlingen Police officers.
The scammers are asking for monetary donations and claiming they will send envelopes in the mail to residents to send the money. The Harlingen Police Department wants to remind and warn the public not to fall for these scams.
