The Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL are relocating to Trenton for the 2026-2027 season, according to hockey insider Frank Seravalli .

The AA team, which is an affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, will play at CURE Insurance Arena, which was previously home to former ECHL team, the Trenton Titans. Their final season was in 2012-13

According to the report, a formal announcement is expected on Tuesday, followed by a contest to name the team.

The Grizzlies announced in June that they were exploring a potential sale/ relocation of the team.

The Grizzlies will play the 2025-2026 season at the Maverick Center in West Valley City, Utah. The arena seats 10,000 and was the location for ice hockey in the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics.
