BRAZOS-GRIMES COUNTIES, Texas (KBTX) - Grimes County authorities say a stretch of Highway 6 has been closed off due to a major crash.

The Grimes County Constable’s Office announced Monday morning that the crash on North Highway 6 and FM 2154 between Navasota and College Station caused a closure and traffic backup. Live updates from Google Maps showed the stretch of highway impacted was about three miles long.

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office led traffic control with help from Grimes County, the constable’s office said.

Traffic was rerouted to feeder roads. Drivers were urged to avoid the area.

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed with KBTX that two vehicles were involved in the crash and nobody was injured. The road has been reopened.
