The Steelers made a minor roster change the day after their 34-32 win over the New York Jets to open their 2025 NFL season.
On Monday, the team announced that it signed wide receiver Rakim Jarrett to the practice squad and released receiver Lance McCutcheon in a corresponding move.
Jarrett worked out with the team on Sept. 5 and evidently impressed enough to land a practice squad spot. You can read what we wrote about him then:
Jarrett was an undrafted free agent in 2023 out of Maryland. His best collegiate season came in 2021, when he recorded 62 receptions for 829 yards and five touchdowns.
