FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - After reaching over 25,000 acres, deputies have downgraded some evacuation advisories for the Salt Fire burning south of Coalinga.

According to Cal Fire, after first igniting on Sept. 2 in southern Fresno County, the Salt Fire has reached 25,580 acres with 35% containment in nearly a week.

Despite its size, Cal Fire reports containment has grown as they have begun to take control of its spread. In response, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office has lifted some evacuation warnings and downgraded a few evacuation orders.

As of Monday afternoon, deputies have left the remaining areas under evacuation orders in Fresno County: • P28 • P27A1 • P25 • P18B3 • P18B2 • P24B2
