LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech University recently notified students of a string of sexual assault incidents involving rideshare drivers near campus. Caitlynn Jeffries, who is with the Texas Tech Police Department, clarified that these instances did not happen on the TTU campus.

Some students shared they are concerned for themselves and their friends after learning of the assaults. Jeffries said students should always stay alert and aware of their surroundings.
