HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Le Creuset, the French-Belgian company known for producing colorful cast-iron cookware, issued an apology on social media Monday after a sold-out event in Hartford "did not live up to expectations."
Le Creuset hosted a "Factory to Table" event at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford from Sept. 4 to Sept. 7. Attendees who had purchased a $35 VIP ticket would get a "Mystery Box," which were promised to contain at least $300 worth of Le Creuset products, if they spent at least $150 at the event, according to the company's website.
