YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Ursuline head football coach Dan Reardon has been suspended and two of his assistants are on leave as the Youngstown high school investigates allegations of hazing and sexual assault committed by players on the team.
In a statement shared with 3News, Ursuline confirmed Reardon "has agreed to an immediate suspension" and that assistants Timothy McGlynn and Christian Syrianoudis would also be placed on administrative leave "pending the outcomes of the ongoing investigations and litigation." All three were named last week in a federal lawsuit accusing a number of Fighting Irish players of abusing a freshman student during a team camp, with plaintiffs claiming school coaches and administrators failed to adequately investigate the incident and even covered up details.
