An Ohio man is dead after he drowned while taking his girlfriend’s child out for a canoe ride, authorities said.

The victim was identified as 28-year-old Cody Johnson of St. Paris, WHIO-TV 7 reported Monday, Sept. 8, citing the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
