Right place, right time: Lindale officer saves choking toddler within 23 seconds of 911 call

A toddler was choking on an unknown object in Lindale Sunday night, and her parents couldn't dislodge it. They called 911, and within 23 seconds, Sgt. Michael Lazarine was meeting them in the Taco Bell parking lot with his recently-acquired skills for specialized CPR techniques for children. “It’s almost as if I was supposed to be ready for this specific moment,” said Lazarine.
