Concerns about residential trash collection in the city range from timeliness of the service and limitations on bulk waste to responsibility of service providers.

“Does it need some sort of accountability?” asked Julie Peterson. “For instance, if there’s lack of service, should there be some sort of accountability that they have to deal with?”

Ms. Peterson was among about 70 people who attended a public meeting Monday at the Sanger Branch Library on Central Avenue.

The Talkin’ Trash listening session was the first in a series hosted by Councilmen Nick Komives and Theresa Gadus to get feedback from residents on trash collection and recycling in the city.
