PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Another business in Portland's Central Eastside has closed its doors.

Hit the Spot, a once popular food cart turned brick-and-mortar burger joint, served up the last of its backyard barbecue nostalgia from its location at 676 Southeast Morrison St.

"We are officially closed," they shared in a post on Instagram.

"We hope this isn’t the end. We are gonna do everything in our power to come back. We lost our entire savings and our home in this space."

The post showed a screenshot of their business profile on Google, showing the restaurant as permanently closed.

KOIN previously featured the business in its "Cart of the Week" series when it was based in a food truck on Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

Hit the Spot did not respond to an email request for comment.
