Two workmen have sadly died in a freak accident at one of England's oldest football culbs. ‌

The tragedy took place at the car park of Hitchin Town FC in North Hertfordshire on Saturday, September 6 at around 2pm as they unloaded glass panels from a lorry. ‌

Despite best efforts of the paramedics were unable to save he. announced the pair dead at the scene while a third man was also treated for minor injuries. Hertfordshire Police said the men had been 'unloading glass panels from a lorry' before they died. ‌
