ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A juvenile was airlifted to the hospital on Monday evening after being injured during football practice at a South Fulton park, according to a spokesperson for the city.

The child was injured during practice at Old National Park in the City of South Fulton shortly after 7 p.m., the spokesperson said.

“The child was airlifted to a local trauma center for further evaluation and treatment,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

The child’s parents were reportedly at the park at the time of the incident “and were immediately made aware of the situation,” after which practice ended.

The spokesperson said no further details are available at this time.
