The takeaway for San Diego State coach Sean Lewis after its disappointing performance in Saturday night’s 36-13 loss at Washington State: “This is a good team that had a bad game.”

“That was a bad night up in Pullman,” Lewis began in his weekly Monday meeting with the media. “Need to coach better. We need to play better. We need to work our process better as we go.”

Lewis said running back Lucky Sutton shined, the offensive line did a nice job for three quarters and there were some bright spots in the kicking game.
