CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Clay County.
Kentucky State Police says troopers were notified of a serious crash involving a motorcycle on State Highway 1524 near the intersection of State Highway 2000 at around 2:20 p.m. Monday.
According to KSP’s preliminary investigation, a motorcycle driven by 64-year-old Terry McClure, of East Bernstadt, was traveling westbound on Highway 1524 when it crossed the center line and collided with a Ford F-150.
McClure was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Coroner.
The driver of the Ford F-150 was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say toxicology results are pending, and no autopsy has been scheduled.
KSP is continuing to investigate the incident.
