OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma hasn’t been asked to provide National Guard troops for President Donald Trump to deploy to Washington, D.C., or any other city, but the state would have personnel trained and ready if called, according to a Guard media representative.
Chief of Public Affairs Lt. Col. Kristin Tschetter said a National Guard Reaction Force that has existed for more than 15 years is trained to provide timely response to support law enforcement or assist with security operations within the state.
Guard members recently assisted local and state law enforcement agencies that provided security for a championship parade held for the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team in Oklahoma City. Members also have supported security at politi
